Using Make Me Admin on Windows


Make Me Admin is an application for Windows that allows a standard user to temporarily elevate themselves to local administrator. Follow the steps below to use the Make Me Admin application.

  1. Launch the Make Me Admin application by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.

  2. In the Make Me Admin window, click on the Grant Me Administrator Rights button.

  3. When you click the Grant Me Administrator Rights button, a service running in the background, adds your account to the Administrators group. You will be notified once administrator rights have been granted.

  4. After 15 minutes you will no longer be a member of the Administrator group. However applications you initiated as an administrator will work at elevated access level even after time has expired. You will be notified when administrator rights have been removed.
